Alkhidmat announces dispatch of disaster relief team for Turkey earthquake
Alkhidmat Karachi has announced the dispatch of a team to assist in the rescue and relief operations underway after the recent earthquakes in Turkey. CEO Alkhidmat Karachi and Assistant Secretary Alkhidmat Pakistan Naveed Ali Baig made the announcement and expressed his sorrow at the devastation and loss of lives caused by the disaster which has necessitated the declaration of emergency in the stricken country. He also announced that Alkhidmat would send aid to the quake-hit areas and added that Alkhidmat and Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) would jointly send a team of doctors and paramedical staff to the disaster zones. He disclosed that the teams were already preparing to leave for Turkey. Appealing to those with means to come forward and donate to Alkhidmat for this cause, he said that this was the moment that we needed to support our Turkish brethren in their difficult hour. Lastly, he reiterated Alkhidmat’s resolve and experience of helping people in disaster-hit places not only in Pakistan but also overseas.
