Alkhidmat celebrates Youm-e-Haya in Karachi; Scarves distributed

PR : Alkhidmat Karachi celebrated Youm-e-Haya (Modesty Day) yesterday with a special event organized by the Airport cluster of its Orphan Care program. The eventwas attended with great enthusiasm by orphan children and their mothers. Chief guest on the occasion was Ms. Qurratulain, President Alkhidmat Women District Airport. Gifts such as scarves and books were distributed among the children, and workshops on the topic of Haya or Modesty were held. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Qurratulainsaid that Haya was the jewel of a Muslim; a person who has lost Haya has lost everything. Relating a hadeeth, she said that chastity and faith reside in the same place; if one disappears, the other disappears too. She said that Western cultural ideas were being propagated in our society which Muslims must be aware of and shun. She encouraged the attendees towards the adoption of Taqwa and called upon Muslim parents and teachers to guide their wards towards Islamic teachings and prevent young minds from drifting towards immoral activities.
