Alkhidmat concludes 2nd stage of annual health screening for orphans  

Alkhidmat Karachi has successfully concluded the second phase of its annual health screening, targeting orphan children registered under its Orphan Care Program. Approximately 700 children were thoroughly screened for common illnesses at Alkhidmat’s healthcare facilities, including its hospitals in Orangi and Korangi, and the Alkhidmat Medical Center in Malir. The health check-ups, which focused on ENT, dental, and eye conditions, provided free medical consultations and prescriptions for those in need. Additionally, doctors offered valuable health advice to the children and their guardians on maintaining overall well-being. Senior leadership, including Executive Director of Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureishi, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District Airport Muhammad Ashraf, Town Chairman Malir Zafar Ahmed Khan, and UC Chairman Waseem Mirza, visited the Alkhidmat Medical Center in Malir to observe the screening process. Simultaneously, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District West Mudassar Hussain Ansari, Director of the Orphan Care Program Yousuf Muhyiudeen, and other prominent officials visited the Alkhidmat Hospital in Orangi to meet the children and their guardians.  Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director Rashid Qureishi revealed that Alkhidmat currently has 2,200 orphan children registered under its program, of which 1,000 have already undergone screenings. The remaining children will be screened in the coming weeks. Town Chairman Landhi Abdul Jameel Khan praised Alkhidmat’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of orphan children, urging the public to extend their support to such humanitarian efforts. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District West Mudassar Hussain Ansari echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that access to healthcare is a fundamental human right for these vulnerable children, and the responsibility to ensure their well-being rests on society as a whole. Director of the Orphan Care Program, Yousuf Muhyiudeen, reiterated Alkhidmat’s dedication to treating the children as their own, emphasizing that they represent the future of the nation. He assured that any child diagnosed with an illness during the screenings would receive free treatment at Alkhidmat’s hospitals.
