Alkhidmat conducts annual health screening for 500 orphans  

Alkhidmat Karachi recently conducted the first phase of its annual health screening for 500 orphans registered under the Korangi District cluster of its Orphan Care program at the Alkhidmat Korangi Hospital in Karachi. The screening was done by a team of doctors and paramedical staff comprising Dr. Tahir Saleem, Dr. Abdul Wasey, Dr. Munawwar, Dr. Tooba Riyaz and others in the presence of officials from the hospital as well as Alkhidmat Karachi. The children were accompanied by their mothers and guardians. Check-ups were conducted for ENT, dental as well as eye illnesses, and prescribed medicines were given free to those who needed them. Children who were found in need of further medical attention will be granted the required treatment free of charge by Alkhidmat. These children and their guardians were also given important medical advice by the doctors to keep themselves healthy. Director Orphan Care Program Alkhidmat Karachi Farooq Kamlani visited the camp and met the children and their guardians. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Alkhidmat was not only taking care of thousands of orphans but also providing them proper healthcare. He termed the care of orphans a noble cause highly recommended in Islam and called for the public to support such activities.
