Alkhidmat conducts Prize Distribution Ceremony for Central Jail Computer and Language Students

Alkhidmat Karachi distributed achievement certificates to 137 prisoners who had passed their Computer Graphics, CIT Diploma, English and Chinese language course exams in Karachi’s Central Jail recently. The prize distribution was conducted in a special ceremony held in the jail premises ad attended by IG Prisons Syed Anwar Mustafa, Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureishi, DIG Prisons Muhammad Hasan Suhto, Director Community Services Qazi Syed Sadruddin, Senior Manager Co-ordination Manzar Alam and other senior jail officials. Congratulating the successful prisoners, IG Prisons Syed Anwar Mustafa thanked Alkhidmat for its noble initiative of teaching computers and languages to prisoners which would help them earn a respectable living after their release. Speaking on the occasion, Rashid Qureishi said that Alkhidmat’s intention behind setting up this center was to inspire the inmates to eschew crime and achieve something productive in their lives. Qazi Syed Sadruddin thanked the jail authorities for their cooperation in conducting these courses which would enable the successful inmates in getting their sentences reduced. DIG Prisons Muhammad Hasan Suhto also lauded Alkhidmat’s efforts in this regard and reiterated that all prisoners who were admitted in the jails were given full opportunity and guidance to change their lives for the better.
