Alkhidmat delivers another 30 houses to flood victims

Alkhidmat Karachi’s Disaster Management team has delivered another 30 houses as part of its rehabilitation operations under its “Tameer-e-Watan” program to the flood victims in Abdul Wahab Goth, Rajal Bela who had lost their houses and possessions. These rehabilitation operations are being conducted throughout the flood-affected regions of Sindh and Balochistan for flood victims. The keys to the houses were handed over to the elders of the families by Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureishi in a special event organized for the purpose. Present on the occasion were Director Disaster Management Alkhidmat Karachi Qazi Syed Sadruddin, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District Lasbela Abdul Malik, President Alkhidmat Foundation District Lasbela Noor Ali, Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation District Balochistan Karamat Ali, Senior Manager Disaster Management Sarfaraz Sheikh and other senior officials as well as a large number of local residents. Speaking on the occasion, Rashid Qureishi expressed his pleasure at the completion of the Model Village project and the handing over of the houses to the flood victims. He recalled the difficult days of the flood when everything was washed away and people lost all they had including their houses. Immediately after, Alkhidmat had organized one of the biggest rescue and rehabilitation operations ever seen in the country, of which the housing program was a part. Qazi Syed Sadruddin also spoke on the occasion and reminded the audience that Alkhidmat had always stood by the people in times of crises such as past earthquakes and floods and would continue to do so.
