Alkhidmat dispatches  2 dozen of trucks with relief supplies

Alkhidmat Karachidispatched more than 24 trucks on Tuesday evening laden with relief supplies to flood-hit areas such as Jacobabad, Larkana, Shahdadkoth, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Dairkee and others. These relief supplies included dry rations, flour, canned food, biscuits, water bottles, tents, blankets, mosquito nets, medicine, clothes, footwear, cooking vessels and other necessities.CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig visited the godown in Orangiwhere these relief supplies are stored and witnessed the packing and loading himself. He was accompanied by Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureishi, Manager Community Services Shehzad Khalil and other officials. Naveed Ali Baig said that since interior Sindh had borne the brunt of the floods, these areas had been prioritized. He added that Alkhidmat’s relief campaign was now in its third month and more that 10,000 ration packs had been distributed among flood victims with each pack sufficing for a family for more than a month. Moreover, Alkhidmat had also established tent cities, medical camps and large kitchens for the welfare of the flood victims. He said that Alkhidmat had planned for the complete rehabilitation of these people and would not rest until all the flood victims had returned to their native places and resettled.
