Alkhidmat distributes Educational Kits to 500 more orphans

Alkhidmat Karachi recently distributed Educational Kits containing school bags and money for stationery to 500 orphans registered under the Lyari cluster of its Orphan Care Program as part of an overall plan to distribute these kits to the 1,700 orphans under its care in the city. Chief Guest of the distribution ceremony was former MPA Sindh Assembly and Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District North Syed Abdur Rasheed. Also present during the event were Director Orphan Care Yousuf Muhyiudeen, Naib Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District North Jawad Shuaib, Assistant Manager Orphan Care Program Muhammad Haroon Shahid and other senior officials who spoke to the orphan children and participated in the distribution. Speaking on the occasion, Syed Abdur Rasheed said that Alkhidmat’s only intention behind its efforts to spread smile on orphan’s faces was to obey the commandments of Allah (SWT) and practice the Sunnah of His Messenger (SAWS). Besides supporting them financially at their homes Alkhidmat was also taking care of their educational and health needs. Yousuf Muhyiudeen disclosed that the total number of orphans under Alkhidmat’s care in the country was around 20,000 while the number in Karachi was 1,700. Children like to have new books and bags for the new academic year which is why Alkhidmat was distributing these kits. According to Jawad Shuaib these children were the future of the nation and called upon those with means to come forward and support them by every means. He encouraged the children to study hard and to become good Muslims.
