Alkhidmat Karachi has inaugurated a new RO Filtration plant at Baghdadi Colony in Karachi. The inauguration was done by Director Clean Water Alkhidmat Karachi Gauhar Islam and Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate for UC Chairman Fazal ur Rehman. Manager Clean Water Alkhidmat Karachi Saad Akbar and other senior officials were also present along with large numbers of local residents. The new plant brings the total number of Alkhidmat’s filtration plants in Karachi to 54. Contaminated water that was being supplied through pipes and tankers was a health hazard. Therefore, Alkhidmat was trying to provide clean drinking water wherever possible by installing 54 Water Filtration plants in the city which were providing quality drinking water to thousands of citizens on a daily basis. He added that Alkhidmat was also working to make people aware of the dangers of impure water and expressed his desire to establish water filtration plants in every area of Karachi. On his part, Fazal ur Rehman said that Alkhidmat was serving the people in many ways, but providing clean water was one of the most important ones. He appealed to those with means to come forward and support Alkhidmat in this effort. Lastly, the guests surveyed the working of the filtration plant and were briefed about it by the operators of the plant present there.
