Alkhidmat Observes Citywide Solidarity with Palestinians
Alkhidmat Karachi organized solidarity rallies outside its offices, hospitals, centers, and water filtration plants across the city to show full support for their oppressed Palestinian brothers and sisters. Hundreds of Alkhidmat volunteers participated in these rallies. Thousands of students from schools in various areas, including New Karachi, North Karachi, Kathore, Memon Goth, Old Thano, Gulshan-e-Maimar, Lassi Goth, Bakhar Goth, Musa Colony, Water Pump, Keamari, Korangi, Orangi, Baldia, Saeedabad, Lyari, Lines Area, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Landhi, Malir, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Bilal Colony, Shah Latif Town, Rehri Goth, Shershah, and Frontier Colony, also took part in the rallies to express solidarity with their Palestinian brothers and sisters. Executive Director of Alkhidmat Karachi, Rashid Qureshi, along with other officials, participated in the rallies. Participants held placards, banners, and Palestinian flags, while Alkhidmat’s officials and its Tafheem-ul-Quran teachers addressed the participants. In their speeches, the speakers highlighted that today’s solidarity programs with the Palestinians hold the status of a collective duty for the Muslim Ummah. The Muslims of Gaza are sacrificing their lives and families for the liberation of al Aqsa Mosque. If we cannot do anything else, we can at least raise our voices in support of their cause. This will serve as our testimony before Allah that while we couldn’t bring them freedom, we continuously raised our voices in their support and worked to mobilize global public opinion for their cause by taking to the streets in support of these oppressed people.
