Alkhidmat operating 53 Water Filtration Plants in Karachi: Naveed Ali Baig

Karachi: Alkhidmat Karachi is operating 53 Water Filtration Plants in Karachi which provide safe and clean drinking water of the highest quality to thousands of citizens on a daily basis, according to CEO Alkhidmat Karachi, Naveed Ali Baig. Stressing the importance of clean water and the hazards of contaminated water, Naveed Ali Baig said that Alkhidmat was working hard to provide clean water to citizens at subsidized rates through its Clean Water program. He added that Alkhidmat was also operating a mobile Water Van service to dispense clean and cool water at Iftar time and during the hot summer. Alkhidmat has also established a Water Testing Lab in PIB where citizens and institutions can test their water samples. In addition, there is a team of water technicians that performs maintenance work at water plants that develop mechanical problems. Naveed Ali Baig also disclosed that Alkhidmat had procured Water Filtration Plants from the Japanese government during the tenure of late Mayor Niamatullah Khan that was still in operation and were providing clean water to citizens. He also mentioned that Alkhidmat had installed Automatic Dispensing Machines at three localities in the city that were dispensing clean water 24 hours to citizens. This initiative is being planned for expansion to other areas also. According to Naveed Ali Baig, there was a serious scarcity of clean water in the city of three crores, and Alkhidmat’s intention was to provide clean water to every corner of the city. Lastly, he appealed to those with means to come forward and help Alkhidmat in its efforts.
