Alkhidmat provides interest-free loans to hundreds of unemployed individuals: Naveed Ali Baig

Chief Executive Officer, Alkhidmat Karachi, Naveed Ali Baig, stated that Alkhidmat is working through its “Islamic Microfinance” program to empower hundreds of unemployed individuals across the country, including Karachi, by providing interest-free loans to them. He shared this in a special statement yesterday in which he mentioned that Alkhidmat provides loans up to 75,000 rupees to unemployed individuals for small businesses, and these loans are given without any interest. He added that Alkhidmat’s three Skill Development Centers in Karachi offer courses in Mobile Repairing, Advanced Tailoring, Electrical Maintenance, Solar PV Technician Training, Industrial Automation, Motorcycle Repairing, AC Maintenance, and other skills. These courses are designed to help youth learn vocational and professional skills and earn a dignified livelihood instead of waiting for jobs. Graduates of these centers who wish to start their businesses are also provided with interest-free loans which can be repaid in easy installments. Director, Mawakhat Program, Yusuf Mohiuddin, said that more than 60% of the students graduating from Alkhidmat’s Skill Development Centers are either employed or running their own businesses. The purpose of providing loans to individuals is to help them stand on their feet so that they change their lives. When one individual starts a business, the entire family benefits, and prosperity comes to their home. Yusuf Mohiuddin emphasized that all of Alkhidmat’s efforts are made possible through the support of philanthropists, and wealthy individuals are urged to support the Mawakhat Program and Alkhidmat’s youth empowerment initiatives.
