Alkhidmat’s Bano Qabil launch its first job portal
Alkhidmat Karachi’s free IT program for youth, Bano Qabil, has launched its first job portal, ‘Qabil.jobs’. At the two-day Bano Qabil exhibition held at the Expo Center Karachi, Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Muneem Zafar Khan, inaugurated the job portal whilehonors and certificates were distributed to more than 10,000 graduates who had completed various courses under Bano Qabil 2.0. A number of students also showcased their unique projects while more than 100 companies set up stalls at the event. While addressing the opening ceremony, Muneem Zafar Khan disclosed that Alkhidmat will launch a major program on November 3 under Bano Qabil, in which 1 million youthwould participate. He emphasized that the launch of the job portal was a significant milestone, as it would connect hundreds of companies with Bano Qabil’s graduates. The portal will store the data of these graduates, and industries will offer employment to these young individuals based on their needs.On this occasion, Director, Bano Qabil Pakistan, Salman Sheikh, Director, Community Services, Qazi Syed Sadruddin, Skill Development Council’s Farheen Baig,FaizanLaghariand others delivered speeches. Executive Director, Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureshi, Director, Bano Qabil Program, Farooq Kamlani, Chairman, ABAD, Hassan Bakhshi, CCO, Habib Group of Companies, Arif Habib, sports anchor YahyaHussaini,RizwanJafar, and Head, Salman Corporation, Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan were also present apart from representatives from the corporate sector and several IT companies.Muneem Zafar Khan said that Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman envisioned the empowering of Karachi’s youth by teaching them IT courses and offering them hope for a bright future. In the last two years, 50,000 students have graduated from the Bano Qabil program, achieving what the government should have been doing. Despite discussions about establishing an IT park in Karachi over the past three years, no progress has been made. Meanwhile, Alkhidmat is conducting IT courses at 55 locations.He further added that Bano Qabil had helped the youth to break free from despair, focus on education, and move forward to support their families. Registration for Bano Qabil 4.0 is ongoing, with 100,000 youths from Karachi already registered. He highlighted that 60% of the country’s population consists of youth, who Alkhidmat will continue to support.Muneem Zafar Khan called on the government to grant university status to the Polytechnic College, allowing thousands of Karachi’s youth to advance in technology and contribute to the nation’s progress. Speaking at the ceremony, Director, Bano Qabil Program Salman Sheikh said that the launch of the job portal marks a major milestone, indicating that they are nearing their goal. Alkhidmat has successfully bridged a gap, connecting many companies with Bano Qabil, where the youth will find employment.Qazi Syed Sadruddin mentioned that the technology job portal will be linked with all technology companies and software houses, marking the beginning of a new era. The entire Alkhidmat Bano Qabil team deserves congratulations. Other speakers at the event praised Alkhidmat’s efforts and congratulated the thousands of students who completed Bano Qabil courses.
