Alkhidmat’s Palestine Fund gets donations from DUHS, Youth Intelligentsia

CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig has appealed to all Pakistanis to contribute generously to the Palestinian cause, since the protection of Masjid al Aqsa, the first qiblah of the Muslims, is the foremost religious obligation upon the Ummah. He was speaking while meeting the delegation from a youth organization, Youth Intelligentsia and student representatives from the Dow University of Health Sciences who presented him with cheques of PKR 1.5 million each for the Palestine Fund. Naveed Ali Baig disclosed that Alkhidmat has been providing relief in Palestine for a long time through partner-NGOs in Turkey and other friendly nations. Describing the situation in Gaza as dire and desperate, he said that more than 11,000 people had been killed in the indiscriminate bombing by Israeli forces while more than 26,000 were wounded and tens of thousands made homeless. He told the youth delegations that Alkhidmat has started special relief services immediately after the war had started on October 7 and was providing cooked food, tents and medical aid to the war victims. Giving an account of Alkhidmat’s activities, he disclosed that Alkhidmat’s humanitarian efforts reach far beyond the national borders when called upon, such as its relief activities during the twin earthquakes in South Turkey and Syria, and before that in Bosnia, Chechnya, Burma and so on. He thanked the youth for standing for their Palestinian brethren and contributing towards their cause. Lastly, the student delegations expressed their appreciation for Alkhidmat’s services in Gaza and reiterated their full confidence in Alkhidmat.
