Hundreds benefit from Alkhidmat’s free medical camps in Gulshan, N Karachi

Alkhidmat Karachi recently organized one-day, free medical camps in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and North Karachi in which around 150 children, women and elderly citizens participated.These participants were given free medical check-ups for general illnesses while cholesterol, sugar and other biochemistry tests were conducted free of charge.Dr. Ayesha and Dr. Ahsanalong with a team of paramedical staff conducted the check-ups. Alkhidmat’s Pharmacy department also gave patients a 15% discounton medicines that were prescribed to them.Doctors also advised the participants to take care of their health and maintain a balanced lifestyle, and also suggested ways to control their sugar. Speaking on the occasion, Director Pharmacy Services Alkhidmat Karachi, Jamshed Ahmed said that Alkhidmat was providing health services to the citizens of Karachi for a long time. He lamented the low degree of awareness among people of the causes of ill health and mentioned that one of the purposes of the camp was to spread awareness about these causes and their preventive measures. He added that Alkhidmat’s pharmacies were all temperature-controlled and managed by qualified pharmacists who could advise patients correctly while offering genuine medicine at 15% discount. Local residents who benefitted from the camps appreciated Alkhidmat’s initiative and expressed their hope that Alkhidmat would continue to provide such efforts in the future too.
