452 Orphan Children Receive Annual Health Screening Under Alkhidmat’s Orphan Care Program

The second phase of the annual health screening for courageous orphan children under the Alkhidmat Orphan Care Program has been completed, during which 452 children were examined. Children registered under the Orphan Care Program from the Shah Faisal, Airport, and North Karachi clusters were checked by expert general physicians, dentists, eye specialists, and ENT doctors. The doctors also provided them with the necessary prescribed medicines. In addition, mothers and guardians accompanying the children were given awareness sessions on health, preventive care, and medical treatment. So far, 781 children have undergone health screening. Alkhidmat plans to screen the health of 2,400 orphan children across 11 clusters in the city, as part of a regular annual health initiative. Muhammad Ashraf, Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami, District Airport, visited the health screening camp at Alkhidmat Hospital in Shah Faisal, where he observed the screening process and met with doctors, children, and their guardians. Director, Orphan Care Program Yousuf Mohiuddin and Manager Athar Suleman were also present on the occasion. Speaking at the event, Muhammad Ashraf said: “Alkhidmat is sponsoring 2,400 orphan children in their homes across the city. It is truly heartening that Alkhidmat not only supports their daily needs but also takes care of their health and organizes recreational and educational activities for them. We urge philanthropists to join hands with Alkhidmat in this vital humanitarian initiative.” Yousuf Mohiuddin said: “The purpose of the health screening is to let these children know that they are not alone—Alkhidmat stands with them. These children are the bright future of our country, and therefore, along with their education, ensuring their health is equally important.”
