Al-Khidmat Has the Largest Fleet of Hearse Buses: Rashid Qureshi

The fleet includes 20 buses and one ambulance. The hearse bus service is actively providing affordable services to citizens. We aim to increase the number of hearse buses according to the city’s population. I urge philanthropists to support this project: Executive Director of Al-Khidmat.

Karachi / March 14, 2024 (PR): Rashid Qureshi, Executive Director of Al-Khidmat Karachi, stated that Al-Khidmat Karachi’s “Community Services” department, which is engaged in serving the underprivileged and marginalized segments of society, is also running a hearse bus service that provides affordable services to people across the city. The “Al-Khidmat Hearse” bus service in Karachi is the largest hearse bus service in the country. He mentioned this in a special statement yesterday. Rashid Qureshi said that the largest hearse bus service in Pakistan began with a single bus in 1968, initiated by Maulana Syed Abul A’la Maududi (RA) from Khaleq Dina Hall. The purpose of starting the hearse bus service was to provide travel facilities to people in Karachi and its surroundings during difficult times. Initially, the number of buses was small, but over time, the fleet grew, and today, thank God, a fleet of 20 hearse buses and one ambulance is actively serving the people. However, these buses are still fewer than what is needed for the city’s requirements, and there is a need to increase the number of buses. Rashid Qureshi mentioned that Al-Khidmat’s Community Services department is involved in important and diverse tasks. The Community Services department is one of the 8 divisions of Al-Khidmat, and the hearse bus service is part of it. He appealed to philanthropists to support Al-Khidmat so that the scope of the hearse bus service could be expanded.
