
Alkhidmat announces sponsorship of children orphaned in Gul Plaza tragedy
Alkhidmat Karachi’s Disaster Management department has announced that it will sponsor the children of those who lost their lives in the tragedy through its Orphan Care Program. Immediately after the incident that occurred five days ago, Alkhidmat’s Disaster Management team, led by Senior Manager Sarfaraz Sheikh, reached the site and took part in the search operation. The team not only participated in rescue efforts but also provided clean drinking water and food to affected families and rescue personnel through water vans. Alkhidmat’s team is still present at Gul Plaza to aid efforts to locate missing persons. In his special statement, Chief Executive Alkhidmat Karachi, Naveed Ali Baig, said that the Gul Plaza tragedy was extremely heartbreaking and that many precious lives had been lost. “This is a time of sorrow, and the tragedy has deeply saddened us all,” he said. He expressed sympathy with the families of the deceased and said that Alkhidmat prays for the forgiveness and elevated ranks of all those who lost their lives. Naveed Ali Baig further stated that Alkhidmat Karachi is currently supporting 2,400 courageous orphaned children at their homes under its Orphan Care Program. He announced that Alkhidmat will also take responsibility for the care and sponsorship of the children of those who lost their lives in the Gul Plaza tragedy through its Orphan Care Program.
