Alkhidmat completes 3rd stage of health screening for orphans
The third phase of the annual health screening for orphan children under the Alkhidmat Orphan Care Program has been completed. In this phase, 749 children were screened, bringing the total number of children screened to 1,623 with the goal set at 2,200 children in total. Health screenings were conducted at Alkhidmat Medical Center, Bihar Colony Lyari, and Alkhidmat Medical Center, Orangi. Specialist doctors examined the children for ENT and eye diseases as well as general health. A large number of mothers and guardians accompanied the children. On this occasion, former Member of Sindh Assembly Syed Abdul Rashid, Director of Orphan Care Program Yousuf Mohiuddin, and other officials visited the medical centers and observed the screening process. The doctors prescribed medicines for the children and gave them advice. Many children were recommended for eye and dental treatments, which will be provided free of charge by Alkhidmat. Former MPA Syed Abdul Rashid stated that Alkhidmat regularly conducts health screenings for orphan children which shows that Alkhidmat is not only concerned with the sponsorship of these children but also cares deeply about their health. According to him, taking care of orphans is a virtuous deed, but ensuring their complete well-being, including their health, is even more rewarding. He added that Alkhidmat’s work is exemplary and sends a positive message to society. Yousuf Mohiuddin said that the third phase of the annual health screening has been completed, and the final phase will be conducted soon. He emphasized that these courageous children are like our own, and Alkhidmat considers it its duty to take care of their health along with their sponsorship. He expressed hope that these children will prove to be the bright future of tomorrow.
