Alkhidmat Conducts Computer and Language Exams for Karachi Central Jail inmates
Alkhidmat Karachi recently organized computer and language exams under its Alkhidmat Computer Training and Language Center established at Karachi Central Jail. A total of 290 inmates took part in the CIT, Graphics Designing, English, Chinese, and Arabic languages exams. Before the exams, papers were sealed at the Alkhidmat head office and dispatched to Karachi Central Jail, where Senior Manager Alkhidmat Karachi Manzar Alam handed over the sealed papers to Alkhidmat’s Head of Examinations, Atif Sabir. Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureshi, Director of Community Services Qazi Syed Saduruddin, Jinnah Town Chairman Rizwan Abdul Sami, Gulshan Town Chairman Dr. Fawad Ahmed, and Sindh Technical Board Inspector Akhtar Ali Shah also visited the CIT examination center and appreciated the examination process. On this occasion, Rashid Qureshi and others interacted with the inmates and expressed satisfaction with the examination arrangements. Rashid Qureshi stated that Alkhidmat’s aim in providing computer and language education to inmates was to help them lead meaningful lives in the future. Completing these courses would instill confidence in the inmates, enabling them to contribute to life after their release. He also acknowledged the cooperation of Karachi Central Jail authorities. Rizwan Abdul Sami and Dr. Fawad said that Alkhidmat was doing significant work for inmate welfare, bringing new hope into their lives. After completing their sentences, these inmates would have the opportunity to start a better life. They also thanked the jail authorities, highlighting the remarkable efforts of Karachi Central Jail in providing education and skills to inmates. SSP Karachi Central Jail Abdul Kareem Abbasi emphasized that their goal was to educate inmates and equip them with skills and knowledge that would help them become dignified citizens after rejoining society. He appreciated Alkhidmat’s initiatives, noting that the Alkhidmat Computer Training and English Language Center in the jail is affiliated with the Sindh Technical Board. Inmates who pass the exams will receive certificates from the board, which may also lead to sentence reductions.
