Alkhidmat distributes hundreds of free plants under “Freedom and Green Karachi” campaign

Under Alkhidmat Karachi’s “Freedom and Green Karachi” campaign, hundreds of plants were recently distributed among citizens. The inauguration ceremony for this drive was held at New MA Jinnah Road. Alkhidmat volunteers gave away free plants to people traveling in vehicles, including buses and rickshaws, and encouraged them to plant trees and keep their environment clean and green. On this occasion, Alkhidmat Karachi CEO Naveed Ali Baig, Executive Director Rashid Qureshi, Director Volunteer Program, Yousuf Mohiuddin and other officials were present. Plants were also distributed among participants at the event. While addressing the ceremony, Alkhidmat Karachi CEO Naveed Ali Baig said that environmental pollution presents significant challenges today. To tackle these challenges, we must keep our surroundings clean, green, and vibrant. He added that August is the month of Pakistan’s independence, and it reminds us that love for our homeland should not just be in slogans but must be shown through action. He emphasized that planting trees is a national obligation. “The plants we are distributing today will grow into shade-giving trees tomorrow, purifying our air and creating a greener, healthier environment for future generations. Let’s plant trees for Pakistan and lay the foundation for a clean and green future,” he said. He further stated that every year, Alkhidmat plants thousands of trees through its plantation drive, including in universities, colleges, and parks. The aim is to contribute to making the city greener and to raise awareness among students, teachers, and the general public.
