Alkhidmat doing outstanding work in orphan care: AbdurRazaaq

Well-known former Pakistan cricketer and national coach AbdurRazaaq attended the fourth day of Alkhidmat’s recent Eid Shopping event at a leading supermarket for orphan kids under its Orphan Care program. Each child was accompanied by their mother or guardian and had the total freedom to choose the gifts of their choice. After exchanging kind words with the children and their guardians, AbdurRazaaqlaudedAlkhidmat’s outstanding work in orphan care and expressed his pleasant surprise that besides the Eid shopping, Alkhidmat was also giving Eidi to these children. He added that he was touched by the joy on the faces of the children and said that those who were supporting Alkhidmat in these activities were deserving of great reward. Among those present during the event were senior sports journalistYahyaHussaini, CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig, Director of Orphan Care YousufMohideen, Director of Community Services Qazi Syed Sadruddin, Director of Medical Services Saqib Ansari and Chairman New Karachi Town Muhammad Yousuf. Speaking on the occasion, Naveed Ali Baig disclosed that 2,200 orphan children had enjoyed the Eid Shopping event with each getting a Gift Voucher of Rs. 6,000 and Eidi of Rs. 500. He said that the intention behind this annual event was to provide these children the exciting experience of shopping for themselves in a big store, and to include them in the joyful festivities of Eid. Reminding people that orphan care was the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (SAWS), he appealed to people of means to come forward and contribute to Alkhidmat in its efforts for orphan care.
