On the occasion of Ramadan, Alkhidmat Karachi has set up “Food Hubs” at various locations across the city. The central “Food Hub” in North Karachi, was inaugurated by Alkhidmat Karachi’s Chief Executive Officer, Naveed Ali Baig, and Executive Director, Rashid Qureshi. Officials from Alkhidmat’s Community Services department were also present at the event. A large number of Alkhidmat’s volunteers are actively engaged in preparing ration bags at the “Food Hub.” These ration bags include essential Ramadan items such as flour, rice, lentils, sugar, tea leaves, powdered milk, gram flour, chickpeas, cooking oil, dates, and beverages, among other necessities. The prepared ration will be transported to district offices, from where it will be delivered directly to deserving families. Speaking on the occasion, CEO Naveed Ali Baig emphasized that Alkhidmat is always driven by the spirit of humanitarian service and prioritizes assisting the needy during Ramadan. He stated, “Ramadan is a month of worship and blessings, and Alkhidmat aims to ensure that no one is deprived of divine mercy during this sacred month. That is why we make special efforts every year to deliver essential food supplies to those in need. The “Food Hubs” have been established to fulfill this purpose.” He further added that the availability of quality food items at the “Food Hubs” has been ensured.
