The ceremony was also attended by Director of Medical Services Dr. Saqib Ansari, Director of Diagnostic Services Dr. Azeemuddin, Director of Pharmacy Services Syed Jamshed Ahmed, Director of Community Services Qazi Syed Saddruddin, Director of WASH Program Gohar-ul-Islam, Director of Bano Qabil Program Farooq Kamalani, Director of Mawakhat and Orphan Care Program Yousuf Mohiuddin, CFO Asif Jamal, and managers and leaders from various departments. During the event, employees from all departments of Alkhidmat were awarded promotions, honors, and certificates. Trophies for outstanding performance were presented to teams from the WASH Program, Orphan Family Support Program, Maintenance Department, Bano Qabil, Diagnostic Services, and Community Services. Addressing the audience, CEO Alkhidmat Karachi, Naveed Ali Baig observed that Alkhidmat had made significant advancements in various service sectors, achieving several milestones in humanitarian services during 2024. Congratulating Director of Bano Qabil Program Farooq Kamalani and his team for their exemplary work on the Bano Qabil Program, he said that the Bano Qabi IT education program had become a ray of hope for youth, with 48,000 young students completing free IT courses. Due to a lack of a single venue large enough to host aptitude tests for Karachi’s youth under Bano Qabil 4.0, tests were arranged at 12 different locations across the city. Another huge achievement was the 22 major aid consignments containing humanitarian supplies for Palestinian brothers and sisters that were sent to Egypt via land and sea routes. Due to its untiring efforts for the Palestinian cause, Alkhidmat has been recognized as the top NGO for serving the oppressed Palestinians. He remarked that the post-war rehabilitation efforts in Palestine would take several years, and Alkhidmat remains committed to working for the restoration of the Palestinians. Further, Naveed Ali Baig highlighted the inauguration of a state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratory in Nazimabad and the launch of a Mobile Health Unit at the beginning of 2024. On another note, he stressed the importance of setting goals and emphasized the swift passage of time, stating that time is the most valuable asset for everyone, whether powerful or ordinary, with each person given the same 24 hours a day. He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in Alkhidmat by people from all walks of life, particularly acknowledging the commendable spirit of women. He encouraged the workers to continue their efforts as a team under the slogan “Meri Alkhidmat” (“My Alkhidmat”). Executive Director Rashid Qureshi also addressed the gathering and praised the dedication of Alkhidmat’s directors, highlighting their voluntary services and expertise in their respective fields driven by a passion for service. He urged all members to enhance their contributions to humanitarian efforts and expand the organization’s outreach.
