Alkhidmat is nurturing hundreds of orphans in 24 Aghosh Homes: Naveed Ali Baig

CEO Alkhidmat Karachi, Naveed Ali Baig, said that Alkhidmat is operating 24 Aghosh Homes across the country, where hundreds of orphaned children are being nurtured. He added that an Aghosh Home for girls has also been established in Karachi. He said that children residing in Aghosh Homes are provided with quality education and training, nutritious food, proper accommodation, and a clean and healthy environment. They are taken on recreational and educational trips, and are also trained in both religious and worldly matters so that these orphan children may grow up to become responsible and exemplary members of society. He expressed these views in a special statement issued yesterday. Naveed Ali Baig said that currently, 140 children are residing at the Alkhidmat Aghosh Home in Gulshan-e-Maymar, where boarding-style facilities are being provided. Alkhidmat takes complete care of these children. All children attend school regularly and follow daily routines similar to other children. Adhering to these routines helps instill discipline, which is essential for practical life. He further stated that Aghosh Homes is a widely recognized project for the upbringing of orphaned children, and its scope is expanding nationwide. Children residing in Aghosh Homes are supported up to the intermediate level of education so that they can become self-reliant. Many children who were raised at Aghosh Homes have gone on to lead successful professional lives. He added that work is underway on several more Aghosh Homes across the country. Sponsoring orphaned children is a Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and in it lies the promise of Paradise. Naveed Ali Baig said that the process of caring for orphan children continues throughout the year. The monthly cost of supporting one child at an Aghosh Home is approximately PKR 20,000, amounting to PKR 240,000 annually. He appealed to philanthropists to support Alkhidmat in this vital initiative.
