Alkhidmat Karachi celebrates 77th Independence Day with flag-hoisting at head-office
Alkhidmat Karachi celebrated Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with flag-hoisting at its head-office on Tuesday. CEO Naveed Ali Baig, Executive Director Rasheed Qureishi and other directors were present along with managers and staff from all the departments. National songs were played and a cake in the national colours was also cut and distributed among the staff. Similar celebrations were held under the Orphan Care department at its various clusters in Lyari, Korangi, Landhi, Old City Area, New Karachi, Orangi, Shah Lateef Town and others. Speaking on the occasion, CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig reminded those present that Pakistan had been achieved after a long and difficult struggle which involved countless sacrifices. He exhorted the audience to continue to serve their nation with passion and sacrifice and establish it as a leading country in the world. He added that Pakistan was established in the name of Islam and it was the duty of the following generations that this purpose was achieved. The same message was echoed by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Malir District Muhammad Islam who encouraged children to work hard, study well and serve the nation. At Lyari, Vice President Alkhidmat District North Soofia Shabbir said that an Islamic system was the only solution to the nation’s multifold crises. Towards the end of the celebrations, quiz and drawing competitions were held among the children as well as face-painting and singing of patriotic songs.
