Alkhidmat Karachi hands over PKR 20M cheque for Turkiye, Syria quake relief
Alkhidmat Karachi has handed over a cheque of 20 million rupees to the Turkish Consul General in Karachi, His Excellency Cemal Sangu for relief efforts in the earthquake-hit areas of Turkiye and Syria. The cheque was handed over by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman and CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig along with Executive Director Rashid Qureishi at the Turkish consulate on Tuesday. Expressing his sorrow at the calamity, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman said that Pakistanis were shocked at the devastation and shared the grief and pain of their Turkish brethren. He gave his assurance that Pakistan would stand with Turkey during this difficult moment and support it to its full ability. Naveed Ali Baig disclosed that Alkhidmat’s team of volunteers was already in the quake-hit areas with advanced equipment to locate and rescue people trapped under the rubble. The team will also provide much-needed aid in the form of medicine, cooked food, water and warm clothes to the quake victims. His Excellency Cemal Sangu thanked Alkhidmat for the assistance and offered his deep appreciation for the gesture of generosity and solidarity.
