Alkhidmat launches Summer Social Internships for youth volunteers; 1,500 registered

Alkhidmat Karachi’s Volunteer Management department recently launched its “Summer Social Internship” program. Over 1,500 young people from across the city have registered for the program, of which 500 were selected to participate. These youth will be engaged in various social projects throughout the six-week “Social Summer Internship” program. The purpose of this initiative is to instill a spirit of volunteerism among youth, enabling them to play an active role in society as volunteers and helping them discover a deeper purpose in life. An orientation session was held for the selected participants, which was attended by all interns. Managers from all Alkhidmat departments presented an overview of their respective areas during the session. The event was presided over by Naveed Ali Baig, CEO Alkhidmat Karachi. Other speakers included Executive Director Rashid Qureshi, Director of the Volunteer Management Program Yousuf Mohiuddin, and others. Saad Zubairi, CEO Lucky One Mall, conducted a workshop during the session. Addressing the participants, Naveed Ali Baig stated, “Alkhidmat is serving in every sphere of life. When you connect with Alkhidmat, you connect with life itself. This experience will enhance your skills and bring out the best in your personality.” Rashid Qureshi emphasized that, “Alkhidmat is working not only across the country but also globally. Wherever life takes you, you will serve as ambassadors of Alkhidmat. Through this internship, you will gain valuable learning and experience.” Yousuf Mohiuddin added, “This program will help develop leadership skills in the youth. Leadership is not a fruit that grows on trees—it comes from training and creating opportunities for yourself. This program will not only build your capabilities but also help you live a purposeful life.”
