Alkhidmat marks World Environment Day with Awareness Walk by Orphan Kids
Alkhidmat Karachi marked World Environment Day with an Awareness Walk by orphan children registered under its Orphan Care program. The children, who belonged to the Landhi and Korangi clusters were accompanied by their mothers and guardians as well as Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District Korangi, Jameel Ahmed Khan and other senior officials who helped the children plant saplings. Banners and placards calling to keep the country clean, plant trees and stop pollution were displayed by the children who were also given awareness about environmental issues. Speaking on the occasion, Jameel Ahmed Khan said that a clean and pollution-free environment had a direct impact on human life. Trees add beauty to human surroundings while contributing to cleaner air and increased rainfall. He added that cleanliness was every citizen’s responsibility and urged the government and various institutional bodies to do their part in keeping the environment clean. Lastly, he praised Alkhidmat’s environment-friendly approach and its efforts to spread awareness of this important matter.
