
Alkhidmat Organizes 5-Day Eid Shopping for Brave Orphaned Children
Alkhidmat Karachi has launched a five-day Eid shopping initiative under its Orphan Care Program to support brave orphaned children. The shopping event commenced on Monday morning at a local shopping mall, where children from Lyari, Old City Area, and Kalakot were given the opportunity to shop for Eid.
More than 500 children participated in the shopping event, with each child receiving a shopping voucher worth PKR 6,000. Their mothers accompanied them, while Alkhidmat’s volunteers assisted the children in selecting their purchases. The Eid shopping initiative will continue for five days, benefiting a total of 2,400 children.
Prominent personality Shahood Alvi, Alkhidmat’s Executive Director Rashid Qureshi, and Director of the Orphan Care Program Yusuf Mohiuddin visited the shopping mall and interacted with the children. They inquired about their preferences and extended gestures of care and support.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahood Alvi expressed his delight at learning that Alkhidmat is providing long-term care for a large number of orphaned children. He highlighted the importance of supporting orphans, emphasizing that caring for them is a fundamental teaching of Islam. He urged the community to actively participate in this noble cause.
Executive Director Rashid Qureshi stated that Alkhidmat’s Orphan Care Program is dedicated to providing for orphaned children across the country, ensuring they do not suffer from deprivation and have access to quality education. He mentioned that Alkhidmat arranges this annual Eid shopping initiative to bring joy to these children. He appealed to philanthropists and the general public to support Alkhidmat in its mission.
