Alkhidmat organizes medical camps for flood victims; thousands undergo check-up
Alkhidmat Karachi has organized medical camps in flood-hit areas where thousands of flood victims have undergone check-ups. Doctors, paramedical staff and Alkhidmat’s volunteers have been mobilized for this purpose and free medicines are being given where necessary. Besides organizing medical camps, Alkhidmat is also conducting a massive rescue and relief operation in these flood-hit area. Many corporates have contributed with aid packages, such as Dalda which has donated 11.80 tins of cooking oil to Alkhidmat. Alkhidmat has also set up more than 100 relief camps in the city where citizens are flocking in large numbers with their donations in cash and kind. Alkhidmat has also established a big kitchen in Sukkur through which cooked food and drinking water are being provided to flood victims of the area. Hundreds of volunteers are working round the clock along with local Alkhidmat officials to provide tents, rations and other necessities to flood victims. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has visited Alkhidmat Karachi’s head office in the presence of Alkhidmat Karachi Executive Director Rashid Qureishi and other officials and met volunteers involved in sorting, packing and dispatching relief supplies in trucks and other vehicles to flood-stricken areas. Hafiz Naeem reiterated Alkhidmat’s commitment to continue the relief operation which was already underway in the most severely hit areas and appealed to those with means to come forward at this difficult moment and donate generously and wholeheartedly to Alkhidmat’s flood relief activities.
