
Alkhidmat rewards winners of Bano Qabil Spotlight videography competition; Munim Zafar inspires youth
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Munim Zafar Khan, said that Alkhidmat has extended its support to the youth and will help them progress not just in Karachi but all over the country. Alkhidmat is giving new hope to the youth and rescuing them from despair. “I salute Alkhidmat for its tireless efforts,” he said while addressing the award ceremony of the Spotlight Videography Competition as the chief guest, organized by Alkhidmat Karachi’s Media & Marketing department at the head office. The event was also addressed by Naveed Ali Baig, CEO Alkhidmat Karachi and Chairman, Bano Qabil Program Pakistan, Executive Director Rashid Qureshi, Director of Bano Qabil Program Farooq Kamalani, Director of Volunteer Management Yousuf Mohiuddin, and senior journalist and analyst Faisal Hussain. Media & Marketing Manager Ubaid ur Rehman explained the purpose behind the Spotlight competition. During the event, among the top eleven participants, student Sabuhah Ijaz won first place and received a shield along with a cash prize of Rs. 100,000. The second position went to Afaq Ahmed (Rs. 75,000 and a shield), while student Kausar Shaikh secured third place (Rs. 50,000 and a shield). Zainab Ikram received a special jury award. Other top students were given cash prizes of Rs. 25,000 each, certificates, and gift hampers. The Spotlight competition attracted a large number of youth from across the city, and the top eleven videos were showcased. Munim Zafar Khan said, “The 21st century is the era of IT and AI. It’s commendable that our youth are excelling in these fields and showcasing their talents. Alkhidmat has provided a valuable platform for them. I congratulate all participants of the videography competition.” Naveed Ali Baig stated that under the Bano Qabil program, 55,000 students have already graduated. “InshaAllah, another 20,000 will graduate under Bano Qabil 4.0. The program has expanded nationwide and will reach 24 cities by December. Our youth are highly capable; if governments had provided adequate support, they would have progressed much further by now.” He added that Pakistan’s current IT exports stand at $3.8 billion, but if proper support is given to the youth, this could rise to $38 billion. Executive Director Rashid Qureshi said all participants of the videography competition deserve congratulations for proving their abilities and progress. He said the Bano Qabil program was the vision of Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, and it has now spread nationwide. Graduates of the program are now earning in dollars and supporting their families. “This program has become a beacon of hope for youth. It has already been launched in Karachi and Punjab, and will soon begin in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.” Senior journalist and analyst Faisal Hussain said, “Alkhidmat is educating children, which is a tremendous achievement. In the past, education was the identity of this city. Seeing the Bano Qabil program proves that Karachi’s original identity is being restored. The children of Karachi are second to none in capability and will become Pakistan’s ambassadors around the world.” Yousuf Mohiuddin, Director of the Volunteer Program, stated, “Alkhidmat’s volunteer program is designed for youth, guiding them towards the true purpose of life. Like the Bano Qabil program, the Volunteer Management initiative is also playing an important role. In the past, such opportunities did not exist for youth. Alkhidmat is empowering them by instilling skills, resulting in positive social change.” Farooq Kamalani, Director of the Bano Qabil program, said that Alkhidmat is creating opportunities for youth and helping enhance their capabilities. He congratulated the participants of the Spotlight competition. Members of the competition jury provided feedback on the submitted videos and emphasized the importance of empowering today’s youth. “It is heartening to see Alkhidmat doing exactly that by providing platforms and opportunities. Congratulations to the Bano Qabil team and the Media & Marketing team for organizing this successful Spotlight competition,” they said.
