Alkhidmat sets up relief camps to tackle heat wave
Alkhidmat Karachi has set up 12 relief camps at several places in Karachi to counter the heatwave currently affecting the city. Clean and cool drinking water is being provided to citizens at these camps along with awareness to combat the heatwave. Qazi Syed Sadruddin, Director Disaster Management Alkhidmat Karachi disclosed that the relief camps had been set up in view of the heat wave that has been forecast between May 21 and 27. He advised the citizens of Karachi, especially the old and weak as well as children, to take necessary precautions such as carrying a water bottle and towel and covering their heads, and avoid venturing out during the peak hours of the day.
