Alkhidmat takes orphan children to Children’s Expo

Alkhidmat Karachi took 250 orphans registered under its Orphan Care program to the Children’s Expo organized by Bazme Saathi at Kashmir Park (formerly Askari Park) on Thursday, November 24, 2022. These children, who included those from Aghosh Homes Gulshan-e-Maymar, were accompanied by their mothers and guardians as well as officials from the Orphan Care program. The children participated in quiz and national songs competitions that were organized on the occasion and also played the games available there.  There were a number of stalls with eatables which children visited as they enjoyed themselves thoroughly. CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig congratulated Bazme Saathi on organizing a successful event and said that such programs were beneficial for children’s mental and physical abilities. He added that good education, health and recreation were children’s rights and Alkhidmat was striving to provide these to them through its Orphan Care program. He informed that Alkhidmat was supporting 1,500 orphan children in their homes along with their mothers, and another 50 orphans in its Aghosh Homes, where they were being provided quality education, health and recreational facilities. These children also get the opportunity of participating in study tours to important historical places as well as parks and gardens for entertainment. Naveed Ali Baig said that the purpose of taking children to such places was to let them enjoy while educating them at the same time. He added that the responsibility of caring for orphan children was upon the whole society and called upon those with means to come forward and support Alkhidmat in its efforts for orphan children.
