Alkhidmat to take scores of orphans on Eid shopping spree

Alkhidmat Karachi will be organizing its annual Eid shopping event for orphan children under its Orphan Care program from April 3 to April 6, 2023 at leading shopping malls in the city. These children, from the various clusters of Alkhidmat’s Orphan Family Support Program, will be accompanied by their mothers and guardians as well as Alkhidmat’s volunteers who will be helping them choose and pay for the gifts. Several leading personalities will also be invited to the event which will run for four consecutive days from 10 AM to 2 PM. CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig said that Alkhidmat was supporting more than 1,700 children under the OFSP who would be given a voucher of PKR 5,000 each to experience the excitement of Eid shopping and choose gifts for themselves. He disclosed that besides events like these, Alkhidmat was also taking care of these children’s healthcare, education, character-building and cultural and national awareness through excursions and trips to historical locations and places of interest. He highlighted the fact that caring for orphans, raising them and safeguarding their rights is a significant part of Islam, worthy of great reward. This has inspired Alkhidmat to devote itself to the care of orphans and ensure that on festive occasions like Eid, these children can participate in the celebrations and not feel lonely and left out. Lastly, he appealed to those with means to support Alkhidmat by contributing a voucher of PKR 5,000.
