Alkhidmat’s Community Services distributes thousands of kilograms of chicken meat daily during Ramadan
Alkhidmat Karachi’s Community Services Department has been distributing thousands of kilograms of chicken meat among needy families daily during Ramadan. The meat is being delivered directly to the homes of the poor and needy, and Alkhidmat volunteers have been actively engaged in this effort since the first day of Ramadan. These remarks were made by Executive Director Rashid Qureshi while reviewing the Alkhidmat Meat Drive. He stated that last year in 2025, due to rising inflation and difficult economic conditions, Alkhidmat distributed thousands of kilograms of chicken meat among vulnerable communities. The distribution is continuing during this Ramadan and will remain ongoing until Chand Raat. Rashid Qureshi added that Alkhidmat has established a Meat Drive Center in Korangi, from where the meat is safely transported by vehicles to all districts of Karachi. Alkhidmat volunteers then ensure that the meat reaches deserving households. He further noted that Alkhidmat is receiving cooperation from an institution to carry out the meat distribution on such a large scale. Because of the high cost of meat, it has now become unaffordable for ordinary people, and those from weaker segments of society cannot even imagine purchasing it. Rashid Qureshi emphasized that during the holy month, Alkhidmat has not only delivered thousands of ration bags to families but is also continuing various other welfare initiatives through its Community Services Department. He appealed to philanthropists to support Alkhidmat in helping the poor, needy, and underprivileged members of society.
