Alkhidmat’sMega Tree-planting drive gathers speed; thousands more trees planted
Alkhidmat Karachi’s Mega Tree-planting Drive is proceeding with momentum, with thousands of more saplings planted in various locations. The initiative has roused significant interest, with a large number of students, teachers and citizens participating in this campaign. “The plantation campaign is invaluable, as we must protect the environment from pollution”, stated Rizwan Abdul Samir, Chairman of Jinnah Town. Trees were also planted in Gulshan Park in Gulshan Iqbal, where many students from NED University participated. On this occasion, Asif Abdul Karim, Chairman of Parks, Gulshan Town, along with UC Vice Chairman Asif Hussain and Director of Volunteer Management & Orphan Care Program, Alkhidmat Karachi Yusuf Mohyuddin planted trees and offered special prayers.Asif Abdul Karim emphasized the importance of Alkhidmat’s tree-planting campaign, stating, “We must collectively protect the environment from pollution and make our country and city green and vibrant.” Alkhidmat, in collaboration with the Islamic Jamiat Tulba, also planted trees at the College of Technology (GCT), where a large number of students participated.Abdul Razak Khan, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Site West, Principal of GCT College, Ghulam Rasool, and Samir-ul-Haq, Nazim of Islami Jamiat Tulba Zone West, planted trees at GCT College. In Alkhidmat Park, Jinnah Town, UC 8, Chairman Jinnah TownRizwan Abdul Sami and Chairman UC Junaid Makati planted trees. Abdul Razak Khan remarked, “For human survival, air and water are essential, but a clean, green environment is equally crucial. A vibrant environment can address the challenges posed by pollution.”Rizwan Abdul Samir added, “The environment also impacts human life. We congratulate Alkhidmat for its environment-friendly initiative of planting trees throughout the city.” He encouraged citizens to participate in this campaign to beautify the environment and make it pollution-free by planting as many trees as possible. He stated that all towns and UCs should initiate similar campaigns to tackle the challenges we face.
