Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman inaugurates Model Village in Gadap

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has inaugurated the Model Village in Goth Imam Bakhsh Gondar Balari, Gadap Town built by Alkhidmat Karachi’s Disaster Management department for the victims of the 2022 floods. The possession papers for 23 new houses were handed over to the lucky beneficiaries at a special ceremony held to mark the occasion. Among those who attended were CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig, Executive Director Rasheed Qureishi, DirectorDisaster Management Syed Sadruddin Qazi, Ameer JI District North and Chairman Town Committee New Karachi Town Muhammad Yousuf, Member Town Council SoomarBurfat, Haji Abdul GhaffarGabol and other senior officials. A large number of local residents also attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Naeemur Rehmanreminded that Alkhidmat had provided rescue and relief operations throughout the country after the devastating floods and followed it up by rehabilitation efforts of which the Model Village was a standing example. he added that although there were problems of electricity and water in the area, Alkhidmat had made solar energy arrangements and installed hand-pumps to overcome this problem.CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig said that Alkhidmat did not discriminate between race, language, caste or creed and had provided widespread relief efforts for the thousands of flood victims who had arrived in Karachi, settling them in temporary tent cities and providing them rations, cooked food, drinking water, clothes and medicine. He disclosed that the Model Village included a masjid, school and park and prayed for a secure and happy life for the newly settled flood residents of the Model Village.
